I was glad when they said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the Lord.” (Psalm 122:1)
Here are some common questions and answers about visiting Calvary Chapel.
I’m looking for a church in Oakville. What can I expect if I come to Calvary Chapel?
You can expect a casual atmosphere, friendly people, simple acoustic worship music, and a message from the Bible that will speak to your life from a live speaker, usually our pastor, Pastor Paul. Our services are not a production-style experience, but rather a time for us to experience God together through worship and the Word. Our mission is to help people grow closer to God, so we pray that from the minute you enter, you feel like family.
How do I find you?
We meet every Sunday morning at 10:30 am in the Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre:
1086 Burnhamthorpe Rd E, Oakville, ON L6H 7B2
Once inside, make sure you get a copy of “Calvary Chapel Distinctive”, which will give you more information about Calvary Chapel Oakville.
Where do I park?
There is plenty of parking in the parking lot.
Once inside, what do I do with my children?
Your children may sit with you during the music part of the service, which lasts approximately twenty minutes. Then, they will have the opportunity to go to a class, will they will enjoy a lesson, music, crafts, and more–all geared specifically to their age group.

Do you have free pastries/coffee/tea available afterwards?
We’re glad you asked — and, yes, we do!
Do I need to dress up?
No. You are welcome to dress up if you like; however, most people where casual clothes.
What is the worship service like?
Each service features simple worship music (usually a guitar and percussion), some announcements about what is happening at the church, and a message from the Bible that you will find helpful, inspirational, and relevant. Oftentimes, there will also be a time for people to share a short testimony or prayer request.
What happens after the service?
If you need prayer, there will be someone available to pray with you. You may also stick around for a free cup of coffee and some pastries. Pastor Paul would also love to meet you and answer any questions you might have.
